Pine treats the verified saving as the unit of work: every figure it publishes carries its baseline, its normalisation, its uncertainty band, and the meter and production data it was computed from — energy, cost, and emissions on the same evidence.
One dataset for the plant and the filing
A manufacturer's carbon-border and sustainability figures are assembled in spreadsheets from invoices, while its energy decisions come from a plant historian nobody in finance can read. Pine makes those the same dataset.
Once the emissions number is reconciled to metered reality, every optimisation and every claimed saving sits on data the plant has already been forced to collect and defend.
Refuses rather than estimates
Energy that fell because production fell is not a saving. Every baseline is normalised for production volume, product mix, and weather before a saving may be claimed, and every saving states its own confidence interval.
A saving that cannot be separated from the noise of its own baseline is reported as not yet demonstrated — never as the point estimate. That restraint is the whole product.
